The 25th annual Lillian Young Spelling Bee was held in Slater Auditorium on the evening of November 21, 2006.  Competitors in the final round were:

Grade 9:  Ara Clark, Bryce Dumas, Rashedul Haydar, Cori Henk, Shalyn Moran, Lindsay Shelto, Pat Trahan, and Zach Yeager

Grade 10:  Mason Andruskiewicz, Kevin Galinat, Peter Grant, Katie Meakem, James Stanton, and Raechel Surprenant

Grade 11:  Meghann Banker, Nisha Baxi, Lauren Donovan, Theodore Generous, Zachary Kuzel, Cassi Mohan, and Rodman Parvin

Grade 12: David Brine, Sarah Chen, Kevin Lee, Adam Montoya, Carolyn Schulz, Liz Williams, and Holly Willcox

Judges for the event were Ms. Sandra Grillo (NFA Corporator), Mrs. Linda Lamothe (Retired NFA English Teacher) and Mr. James Strauss (Literacy Coach, Norwich Public Schools).

The event was moderated by Retired NFA English Teacher Mr. Bill Sullivan and was chaired by NFA English teacher Mrs. Debra Kendall
