The Norwich Free Academy physical education department offers a gym leader program to all 10th through 12th graders. Gym leaders are nominated by their teachers. Gym leaders are chosen for leadership ability, excellence in PE class, and an ability to work with others.
Leaders receive community service credit by attending PE class instead of reporting to study hall. Some of the duties a gym leader might perform are peer tutoring, officiating games, equipment care, mail pick up, and playing in games. |
