At the Academy, the learning experiences that take place in the classroom environment are considered to be meaningful and essential parts of the educational structure. A student is considered tardy if he/she is not in the classroom by the time the second bell rings. Two (2) tardies within the first 15 minutes to any given class will count as one (1) full-day absence.Students tardy to class more than 15 minutes will be marked as a full-day absence.Sleeping in class will count as 1/2 to a full-day absence. The amount of absence will be determined by the classroom teacher.Removal for disciplinary reasons will result in a full-day absence.
