I AM INNOVATIVE

At the Norwich Free Academy, state-of-the-art technology is integrated into everyday student life. Mobile and stationary computer labs, live television broadcasts and an interactive learning center are just a few of the ways that NFA remains on the cutting edge.

 

 

 

I AM DEDICATED

A caring, professional faculty, a mentoring program, and a full range of support services ensure that each of NFA's 2,491 students receive the best possible education. Special programs such as the 9^th grade house, after school academic support, Saturday Academy and STRIVE for Student Achievement help all students to reach their full potential.

 

 

 

I AM INVOLVED

With more than 50 clubs and 72 athletic teams at NFA, students have a myriad of opportunities to take part in co-curricular activities. As part of NFA's commitment to character development, each of these student organizations is required to perform at least one act of public service during the academic year.

 

 

 

I AM ACADEMIC

NFA's comprehensive educational program offers more than 200 courses in remedial to advanced levels. Its varied curriculum includes classes to fulfill and interest — Anatomy and Physiology for Artists, Engineering, Culinary Arts, Ancient Greek and Zoology are just a few of the offerings available to Norwich Free Academy Students.

Incorporated in 1854, The Norwich Free Academy has always operated as a privately endowed secondary school governed by its appointed board of trustees. Generations of alumni, families and friends have helped to create and maintain NFA's rich history and distinctive traditions through financial support.
