The Boys Track team finished in 9th place at the Class LL State Championship with a score of 33.5. Danbury's win ended a 3 year run as State Champions for the wildcats.
The 4 X 800 relay team finished in 2nd place and established a new school record with a time of 7:56.97. Relay team members were Casey McGarvey, Michael Miner, Anthony Marceau and Jason Wagner. Craig Babcock finished in 2nd place in the pole vault clearing 13 ft. Miguel Colon was 4th in the Long Jump with a leap of 21 ft 10 in. In the Discus, Caleb Homiski was 4th with a toss of 140 ft. 9 in.
The boys’ track and field team won its third consecutive ECC regular season large division title with its win over ECC large division rival East Lyme, finishing the regular season with a 7-0 record. At the ECC Tournament Championship on May 19, they won their sixth consecutive ECC tournament title. The top three team scores were NFA 146.5, Ledyard 122, and Griswold 68. All-ECC honors went to Caleb Homiski for his outstanding performances in the Shot Put (46-01.5) and in the Discus (143-00). Tashon Davis and the 4x800 meter relay team of Mike Miner, Anthony Marceau, Casey McGarvey, and Jason Wagner also received ALL-ECC honors. Tashon Davis won the 100-meter hurdles, an event in which he was seeded fifth, with a time of 15.61. The 4x800 team ran 8:07.43.
