Girls Basketball Team to Play in ECC Finals (February 21)

The Girls Basketball Team advanced to the ECC Tournament finals with a 61-52 win over Fitch. Senior captain Courtney Long led the team with 17 points.

NFA will play Waterford in the finals on Friday at 7:00. The teams split the two regular season games and shared the ECC Large Division championship. This will be the fourth consecutive year that NFA and Waterford have met in the ECC Tournament.

League All-Star and Sportsmanship selections will be honored prior to the game.

Defense Key to Championship (February 23)

The Girls Basketball Team won their 11th ECC Tournament Championship over the past 13 years with a hard fought 48-35 victory over Waterford. The two teams split the regular season ECC Large Division Title and have met in the ECC Tournament the last 4 years.

Girls Basketball Advances to ECC Semi-finals (February 17)

Courtney Long and Lindsay Makowicki lead the girls basketball team to a 61-29 victory over Bacon Academy. Long had a game high 14 points to go along with her 5 steals and 4 assists. Makowicki scored the first 8 points of the game, finishing with 10 points and 13 rebounds. For complete article click here.

The girls advance to the ECC Semi-finals at home on Wednesday at 7:30. The opponent is Fitch High School. The other semi-final game, also being played at The Norwich Free Academy involves top seed Waterford versus Stonington at 6:00.
