The 2007 Girls’ Cross Country Team went undefeated in the regular season, they clinched the ECC Large Division, and placed first in the ECC Championship Meet.  Meegan Joly placed first in the Championship Meet followed by sophomore Cassy Hunter.  The top 7 runners stayed consistent throughout the season:  Meegan Joly, Cassy Hunter, Kathleen O’Brien, Amy Sinko, Allison Black, Sarah Babcock, and Jackie Sullivan.  At the Rocky Neck Invite on October 19^th, the JV girls had a great showing.  Sophomore Sarah Eagan placed first followed very closely by Freshman Rachel Connors.  The girls compete Saturday October 27 in the Class LL Meet at Wickham Park.

They Are Two Of A Kind ... And Two Of NFA's Own

In the final dual meet of the season, the Boys Cross Country team defeated Ledyard by a score of 15-50, taking the top 7 places.  The final regular season record for the boys is 5-0.  The Girls also defeated Ledyard and they completed the ECC regular season with a 5-0 record. 

The Cross Country teams compete on Thursday (October 18) at the ECC Tournament.  Both teams are looking to repeat as ECC Champions.
