Senior Kim Johnson (far left) vaulting to a state record at the ECC tournament. Kim's jump of 11' 6" ties the state record set by former teammate and current Notre Dame University track athlete Jessica Sullivan.
The pictures second and third from the left are of freshman Allison Sullivan setting a personal best of 11'. Her 11' jump tied the previous meet record and ranks her third in the nation for freshman pole vaulters.
The final two pictures are of upper Kaylan Pickford. She is clearing 11' to finish second behind teammate Kim Johnson. These performances mark the first time that 3 girls from the same school have cleared 11' in a meet.
There are plenty of teams in every sport that have great players and never win titles. Most of the time, those players aren't willing to sacrifice for the greater good of the team. The funny thing is, in the end, their unwillingness to sacrifice only makes individual goals more difficult to achieve. One thing I believe to the fullest is that if you think and achieve as a team, the individual accolades
will take care of themselves. Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships. Michael Jordan
