How would you rate the movie on a scale of 0-5 stars (5 is best!), let us know what you think. Responses will be posted here by name and grade only.Molly, grade 10
I loved the book but with the movie i was disappointed that they did not include many of the main events that happened in the book. I know that the budget was low for the production of the movie but i was still hoping for something a little bit better. I am reading the fourth and final book and so far its pulled me in so much that i keep stopping work on my paper thats due the day i go back to actually read more! i cant wait to see the next three movies and hopefully they will keep the same characters from the first. i hate it when the sequel to a movie doesnt have the same characters. it just throws everything off balance.

I like many teenage girls, felt a complete connection with the Twilight series. I read all four books repeatedly whenever possible and I like many was overjoyed at the prospect of the movie. I love the movie but in the same sense I was dissappointed in how it did not stick to the book in many ways. Nevertheless i look foward to the arrival of the three next movies and I hope that they inspire more people to become enchanted with the bookseries, its worth the time.

0. I think the movie did not follow the setting and they actors were all terrible. Edward was not hot and he was not a good actor. All his emotions were portrayed extremely wrong and Bella was not even that good of an actor herself. The special effects were terrible and this was one of the most anticipated films of the year but it was put together like it was a second rate film that had no money to spend on anything to make it worth while. But to say the most it surpassed my expectations. I read the first book my freshmann year in 2005 and i have been a huge fan since. This movie was a waste and i knew it was going to be, no movie has ever passed the book, not even CLOSE.

I read all of the books way before the movie and was positively addicted. I had to see the movie of course and was a little disappointed. :-( Sorry everyone, but I did think it was pretty good. I remembered a lot of the details and when the plot went a little off course (the end, hello Edward didn't have that much of a hard time not killing her! The Whole, 'stop you're killing her' thing never happened!) So I saw it again and kept a more open mind. After the second time I would rate with the four stars. If you don't know the book, this movie would blow you away.

Totally rushed and the effects were cheesy. I was suprised how low budget it was, considereing how highly it was anticipated. Book was a thousand times better. Plus the movie had a different vibe to it.

I think the movie was great, even a character was missing, I think they did a great job of following the book. I would give a 5, they had good actor, and i think they did a great job.

I am an avid reader of the books. I have read all of them at LEAST four times each. So I could not wait for the movie to come out. I have also been a fan of Robert Pattinson since Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire came out. So I was excited. I have seen the movie three times so far and I like it a lot. It is a good movie despite being connected to the books. Twilight the book I would rate 5 stars and the movie, though I liked it, on its own I would only give it a 3 or 4 star rating because it had its flaws and if I was not such a bug supporter I may not have liked it as much as I did. I knew this movie was going to be sooo good. I counted down days and weeks. No, I did not read the book, but it made me want to read the 2nd one so bad because I cannot wait for it to come out again in theaters. I'm mad that the "tracker" had to die. HE WAS YUMMY! and his shirt off. WOOOOOOOOOOOOO! YA Shauna, grade 11
I had my doubts a little about how this movie was going to be. Then I went and saw it opening weekend and loved it! This movie could not of been better. They included the major points of the story without being to rushed because you can only fit so much into a movie. I'm very pleased with how it turned out. I give it 5/5. (I recommend reading the books first then seeing the movie.) Ashley
i liked the movie but as a movie not as a movie about a book. To me the movie was good for PEOPLE WHO DID NOT READ THE BOOK. If you did than it was kind of disappointing. I would give it 3 stars as a movie but not a movie done for a book. Ms. Wright weighs in . . .
I saw the movie over the weekend with a recent grad. We both give it 2 stars. It was obvious how quickly they rushed this movie through production, and how little money went into it. We were hoping it would have been better--we weren't expecting an Oscar caliber movie, but . . .we're re-reading the book. Matt
I really loved this book and movie. I can really connect to the problems connected with Bella and school. Sometimes I wish I was Edward or at least in the movie. The movie was great and I can't wait for the second. Jasmine
At first I had some doubts about how the movie would turn out, and if it would be anything like the book. Then I saw it and it was actually pretty good. It followed the plot well and included the major points of the story. I did feel like it was rushed though. Maybe if the movie had been extended by about 45 minutes it would have made the movie better. I gave the movie 4 out of 5 stars. (I do recommend you read the books first!!) Maegan
to those of you who haven't seen the movie yet and also have not read the books; i'd recommend seeing the movie first, otherwise you'd probably be disappointed at how much is left out Ashleigh
I don't know, it seemed like it was rushed to me. Don't get me wrong i loved the movie. It's just some parts were out of order. I highly recommend you READ the books first. 4/5 Gabby
i would most def give it a 5 because the movie followed the plot very well i saw it the night it came out and i plan on seeing it a few more times.in will have to warn fans that the books are better, but this movie just bring the books to life the casting was great and any movie that can make me cry is worth seeing :) Hayley
I absolutely loved the movie! I saw it three times in the first weekend and it just got better every time. The casting was perfect, which really made the book come to life, especially since the plot followed the one in the book extremely well. Brilliant! =] Elizabeth
The movie was good but not better than the books. |
