
NORWICH ART SCHOOL 2010-2011 COMMUNITY ART PROGRAMS

SATURDAY MORNING ART PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN

This outstanding art program introduces students to a variety of media and techniques that include mixed media paintings, design and printmaking assignments, watercolors, observational drawings and pottery projects. Classes meet throughout the academic school year and culminate with an exhibition of the children’s artwork, which will be on display in the Converse Art Gallery in May, 2011.
The Children’s program enrolls students in grades three through eight. The first session meets from 8:45 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. and the second session convenes at 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The fee is $150.00 for 21 classes, and supplies are included in the cost.

The Adult Art Program focuses on the creation of metal art and jewelry. This course is for all ability levels. Beginning students will be introduced to basic tools and techniques, and all students will work according to their skill level. All participants will be encouraged to develop and design in their individual style. The tuition for a ten-class workshop is $125.00.
