The Norwich Free Academy is all about opportunities. In fact, if we had to sum up what we do in four words we’d tell you that we provide opportunities and prepare lives. We help students develop the skills they need to achieve their dreams; whatever those dreams may be. NFA graduates go on to become doctors and lawyers, world-famous authors, professional football players, distinguished servicemen, artists and Tony award-winning producers.

As you set out on your journey to graduation, we ask you one simple question: what are you capable of? Then we provide you with the opportunity to discover the answer. As you stand on campus and look up to see the Slater Museum standing out behind the blooms of the cherry trees, you’ll know that you are part of a rich history of students who have answered that question for themselves. For over a century, NFA educators and staff have been providing a nurturing and challenging environment for students to learn, to experience, to explore and to grow.

Wildcats leave NFA with an obligation; a passion really - to leave their mark on the world.  That passion drives them to teach and to fight for human rights and to inspire the community of people around them. Wildcats are town officials, entrepreneurs, EMT’s, CEO’s and everything in between. But it is that passion that sets them apart from the crowd. That passion is what makes us Proud to be NFA. You can schedule a campus tour, attend an open house or shadow a current student to truly experience what it means to be a Wildcat.
