The NFA Parent Council is committed to the mutual support and growth of the Academy community - meeting the needs of the students and their families - enriching ourselves and encouraging our children to strive for success in their individual goals. This is accomplished through various resources and opportunities set forth in our guiding principles.
The Council's most noteworthy achievement is to organize, promote, and fundraise for the Alcohol and Drug Free Post-Prom Party provided to graduating seniors and their guests. Also noteworthy is that the Parent Council provides scholarships to graduating seniors.
Having diversified in many areas, the goals remain to support "our kids". Parents from any sending town are invited to become involved with the Parent Council and share in the education of their children.

Thank you for all the support during basketball concessions. Please help support LAX and Track concessions. We continue to run about $2K behind where we need to be.
NFA students need your assistance and the NFA Parent Council needs your help. The Parent Council meetings consist of 13 to 18 parents per month. NFA has a student body of 2521 with less than 1% participation from families on the Parent Council. Furthermore, very few of these parents have children who are seniors, the students who benefit most from the council's work. Communications between parents, staff, teachers and department heads have been enhanced by the monthly speakers at our meetings. Please feel free to attend a monthly meeting and join the NFA Parent Council.

- Dumpster Day 2008: May 10, 8 to 11am; Bring all your trash to our 3 dumpsters.
- Bottle/Can Drive: First Saturday of the month 8am to 12noon. Fill the Trailer parked at NFA
- Connecticut Defenders Tickets: June 13th Game, Friday Night Fireworks, $8 per ticket, half to the parent council. Many Tickets available
